Women with mild to moderate hair loss that are not completely bald. We need good quality donor hair to transplant
Who Doesn’t Benefit?
Women that have severe hair loss and fine hair. If you don’t have good quality donor hair to transplant, you won’t be a good candidate.
Patients with active scarring hair loss. Any active disease must be controlled medically before a hair transplant.
Offering both No Shave FUE and FUSE Hair Transplants
There are two ways to remove grafts from the back of the head.
FUSE
Follicular Unit Strip Excision
Hair is removed through a long strip excision at the back of the scalp. This is ideal for women because the scar is easily hidden by surrounding hair. We can also get more grafts and thicker grafts than with FUE. While sometimes villainized by inexperienced clinics as an “older technique” with a line scar, in women with long hair it is completely hidden.
MINIMAL SHAVE FUE
Follicular Unit Excision
Hair is removed from the back of the scalp with a small ~1mm motorized punch tool. To access this area we shave a small easily covered portion of the scalp. This is ideal for women with minimal hair loss who do not want a strip excision. While sometimes marketed as “scar-less,” there are scars, but they are so small they are not easily noticed. Bigger procedures require shaving the back of the head. Smaller procedures don’t require a full shave and can be hidden by surrounding hair.
